Yesssssss!!!

I just got a test and paper back today from a class that I was worried about, and it now turns out that I have a 3.7 overall in that class! I am soooooo relieved. But it was a little sad because my friend really did not do as well as she wanted to, so she didn’t want to talk to anyone. I have been there before. I am really happy right now because I am going home this weekend, I have lots of knitting to do, and it’s a really nice day outside. Also, I did really well with healthy eating today, so that was a big plus.

Okay. So this is going to be my first post with pictures. I know how people love pictures on blogs, so I snapped almost all my WIPS for you. Here they are:

Hat in Malabrigo Rasta

Toesicles in Yarntini sport Boardwalk

Plain Sock in Vesper sock yarn Sweetheart

Haha and these aren’t even all of them…. I love all my WIPs and sometimes I feel like working on different types of things, so why shouldn’t I have lots of them? Today I’m most in the mood for the Saroyan and the Toesicles. I must be feeling the bright colors :) My favorite yarns, as you might be able to tell, are Madelinetosh, Malabrigo, Yarntini, Vesper, and Blue Moon. I have lots of other brands of yarn too, but those are the ones I default to. I will have to get a flash of my stash to you guys soon, and you will be pretty shocked, I think. :)

So I have noticed that contests seem to draw readers, so to celebrate my first picture post, I will have one. Just leave a comment saying what you like best about reading other people’s blogs, specifically knitting blogs. This will be a good way of gauging what the audience wants to see. :)  Then on Monday morning I will randomly pick three numbers. Whoever’s number I pick first gets the first pick of the three prizes, and so on. The three prizes are :

1 skein Miss Bab's Yummy 2-Ply sock yarn in Watermelon

2 skeins Malabrigo silky merino in Bee

1 skein Madelinetosh Prairie in the coveted Composition Book Grey

So there you have it folks! Have a great, knitting filled day!

Let’s get this party started!

Ok. So here is the story. I am a college student who uses knitting to stay sane. I have a huge, gigantic, out of control stash that would horrify most non-knitters and make knitters drool. I’ve got some good stuff in there! Lots of Madtosh, Malabrigo, Vesper sock yarn, Yarntini, Blue Moon, and other great brands hanging around here and there. When I move into my new apartment this May, I hope to get it all organized and under control (Ha!). I will have to get some pics up for you tomorrow, cuz today is my super busy day. I don’t get out of class until four, and then it’s to the gym, to the library for lots of homework, and then bed.

One thing also that hopefully this blog will help me keep track of. I’m trying to lose 10 pounds. Over the past 2 years I have been losing weight and had lost over 80 pounds. I was a little under my goal weight when I started going to school here. But because of stress, life, and bad eating, I have gained 10 pounds. I need to lose it, or unfortunately I will not be able to fit into my clothes. And that will be very bad. So I will weigh in here with you all (if there is anyone reading) and hopefully that will keep me accountable and on track. I want to lose it by June 21, the first day of summer quarter. That is 8 weeks, so I need to lose a little more than 1 pound a week. Very doable, I think.

Anyway, enough about that depressing part. I know people like to read fun happy blogs (I do) so I will always try to keep it light for you guys. I will have to get some WIP shots up here because you will laugh when you see the amount of projects that I have on the go right now. Sometimes it scares me.  :)
